Ann-Sofie Back graduated from Saint Martin's in 1998 and launched her self titled brand in 2001. From the beginning of her career Back has always used social and cultural aspects of fashion in the creative process. And the concept of pretty and ugly has always been central in her work. Although she from the beginning were more of a conceptual designer, Ann-Sofie Back's nowadays also involving aspects as portability, mainly through her BACK collection - a priceworthy little sister to the main brand.
